On November 7, 2016, SIA "AKRON" received the decision of the Rural Support Service regarding the project application No. 16-01-AL15-A019.2101-000011, "Approval of the purchase of a horizontal band saw for the development of the company SIA" AKRON ".

 In April 2017, the company started project implementation. The project is implemented with the support of the Rezekne District Community Partnership and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development Latvian Rural Development Program 2014-2020 19.2.1. in the activity "Initiatives for Strengthening the Local Economy" within the framework of the 1st round project competition.

 In August 2017, SIA "AKRON" purchased a mobile hangar in order to be able to install a horizontal band saw for the project implementation.

 The company offers the production of all types of log buildings, houses, saunas, gazebos and garden furniture from 100% Latvian turned and cylindrical wood according to the customers' individual or standard projects. The company delivers and installs a log house in the supplier's territory. The company also offers unique garden furniture and wooden decorations from logs, which are unique in their technology and artistic activity in their region. In addition, the company is able to produce firewood and fuel chips. Currently, the demand for services is not only in Latvia, but also abroad. Currently, the economic activity takes place in Luznava parish, "Liepiņas".

 The purchase of a horizontal band saw will enable the company to produce the sawn timber required from the production of log houses to the roofing. The company will be able to provide its customers with wooden rafters, battens, finishes, floor and terrace boards both as a separate product and together with wooden structures. A new generation and technology equipment will be introduced in the company - an automated electric horizontal band saw, which will promote the company's capacity, economic viability, productivity and efficient use of resources, opening new market opportunities to the first customers.

 For the first time, the company participated in projects financed by the European Union. The amount of eligible costs of the project is EUR 8153.35 (including VAT), including 70% EU public funding or EUR 5707.34. Co-financing is provided from the budget of the company SIA "AKRON".
